Project Description

This major scheme formed one of the first urban regeneration proposals in the Olympic Games Masterplan Area.

155 market flats, 75 Intermediate and Social Rented dwellings are integrated in an innovative architectural solution. New public spaces are proposed to create links between the historic waterway network and the traditional industrial hinterland of Fish Island. Shaping future regeneration in East London.

The design developed out of addressing landscaped public links across the site to the naturalised river bank and the importance of public open spaces between the built elements. Iceland Wharf was described by the Greater London Authority as “highly commendable”.
